The results are in, they have been checked and audited, and we can reveal that the 501st UK Garrison and Jedi News raised an amazing £16,469.26 for Make-A-Wish UK over the four days of Star Wars Celebration Europe 2023 including Return of the Bash.
The 501st UK Garrison and Jedi News are very pleased to be able to finally announce the total amount we managed to fundraise for Make-A-Wish United Kingdom at Star Wars Celebration Europe 2023 over Easter and the associated fundraising activities we held.
The total is an amazing £16,469.26.
This total comprises the following fundraising activities:
• Bash and auction – £12,286.66
• Patch auction – £2,500.00
• MAW bucket collection at booth – £1055.60
• Gary singing Lonely Boy at the Bash – £627.00We would like to thank everybody who contributed their time and effort to enable us to organise these activities and to all of you who made donations. We very much appreciate this and we are sure MAW will also.
This money from the first 3 fundraisers has now been pooled with the funds raised by our sister clubs – the Rebel Legion, the Mando Mercs, Droid Builders, Saber Guild, The Dark Empire, Galactic Academy and Fantha Tracks to be donated to MAW under the multi-club One Galaxy, One Goal initiative for this event whose fundraising page can be found here.

Our financials for Star Wars Celebration Europe 2023 have been compiled under the guidance of an accountant and have also been audited. The unfortunate delay in announcing this final total was twofold, firstly the time it took for the final payments for the Bash auction to be paid and secondly because we had to find a second auditor after our initial auditor became too time constrained to do this for us. A copy of the audited financials has now been given to the 501st LCO Justin Sonfield and can be viewed upon request at his discretion.
Thanks to everyone that donated and helped make Return of the Bash such a success. Roll on the next Star Wars Celebration in London, whenever that may be… we’ll be ready!
