New Plants VS. Zombies and Need for Speed, and a release window for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
EA has announced plans to deliver new entries in both the Need for Speed and Plants vs. Zombies franchises.
In a recent press release, EA COO and CFO Blake Jorgensen said the publisher will “deliver new Plants vs. Zombies and Need for Speed titles,” although details on upcoming entries have not yet been revealed.
Jorgensen also said EA will “grow Apex Legends and related Titanfall experiences” and “add Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order to our sports titles in the fall.”
Jorgensen went on to note FIFA as a stand-out title and the highest-selling console game in Europe during the 2018 calendar year. He also said the company is “making adjustments to improve execution” and is “refocusing R&D.”
Last year, EA hinted Respawn could release new titles before the end of 2019, possibly including Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, and earlier today Respawn CEO Vince Zampella confirmed the developer has plans for “more Titanfall” later this year.
Apex Legends experienced a strong start after its surprise launch drew over 1 million players in the first 8 hours.
