We had the opportunity to play Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora for more than two hours. In this gameplay clip, we’re showing several different missions from the work-in-progress version of the game. Frontiers of Pandora, created by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft, shares some RPG elements of The Division and open-world mechanics from Far Cry. You’ll recognize some familiar gameplay features, such as clearing outposts and bases. However, one significant difference is that, as a Na’vi, you’ll need to depend on stealth and speed to take on the RDA, who possess mech suits, VTOL light attack aircraft, guns, rockets, and grenade launchers. Stealth in the game also involves the ability to hack electronics and RDA AMP suits. Additionally, there’s Na’vi vision, which allows players to navigate the environment and find items like plants and animals without relying as much on a world map. One unique feature of the game is your ability to call a flying mount, an ikran, at any time. Riding an ikran allows you to enter aerial combat, skydive, and explore several regions of the world, including deep jungles, sky islands, and a hometree. Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on December 7.
