We discuss whether Sony’s changes to PS Plus will keep it valuable in the next-gen.

With February’s lineup of free PlayStation Plus games, Sony has marked an important end of an era — moving forward, that lineup will no longer include PS3 and PS Vita games.

Of course, as Sony begins to set the stage for the PS5, our weekly PlayStation show, Beyond! discusses in the video above what that means for the service in the next generation.

As noted in the video above, Sony has committed to focusing on PlayStation Plus’ features outside of free games, such as the increase in cloud save storage space.

If you enjoyed this discussion, be sure to check out the full episode of Beyond! this week, in which the show’s cast breaks down the latest PS5 rumors. And, of course, for everything going on with Sony’s next-gen hardware, be sure to keep track of our analysis of everything confirmed and rumored about the PS5 so far.

And remember! Beyond has now moved publish days! You can find each week’s new episode of Beyond on beyond.ign.com on Wednesdays at 3 p.m. PT/6 p.m. ET. 24 hours later each week, you can catch the full episode on YouTube, iTunes, and other podcast services.
