Todd Howard confirmed the news at PAX East 2019.

Bethesda has confirmed that it will not be discussing either The Elder Scrolls 6 or Starfield at E3 2019.

During the Bethesda Game Days stream at PAX East 2019, Todd Howard cautioned fans hoping for more details on two of the most anticipated games in the industry that they would need to wait a bit longer.

“Before everyone asks, please be patient,” Howard said. “It’s going to be a long time. It’s not something we’re going to be talking about at e3, either of those games, this year. Patience, please.”

Both The Elder Scrolls 6 and Starfield were announced at E3 2018, although very little details were given of either except that these would be brand-new ‘next-gen’ games, one of a few we already believe are in development for the new systems.

However, there was some good news for fans who have been petitioning for Shirley “Skyrim Grandma” Curry to be immortalized in The Elder Scrolls 6, as a video in honor of the 25th anniversary of the Elder Scrolls series confirmed (around the 8:40 mark below) her existence in the upcoming title.

Shirley even tweeted out her visit to the studio with Todd Howard alongside the announcement being officially revealed, showing her extremely excited and thankful for the opportunity Bethesda offered her.

While we know that we won’t be seeing Starfield, The Elder Scroll 6, or PlayStation at E3 this year, we do have a few confirmed games that will be making an appearance, including Cyberpunk 2077, Doom Eternal, and Halo Infinite.
