Captain Marvel is confirmed as a playable character as well.

Nintendo has announced a launch window for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order, as well as the addition of an MCU newcomer to the playable roster.

During the Feb. 13 Nintendo Direct, developers Koei Tecmo Games and Team Ninja, with publisher Nintendo, confirmed Ultimate Alliance 3 is planned for a summer 2019 launch.

Additionally, the latest look at the action-RPG revealed that Captain Marvel will be among the playable cast, which features Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Defenders, and other Marvel characters. (You can see the confirmed characters in the gallery below.)

Since Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3’s reveal at The Game Awards, Nintendo of America president and COO Reggie Fils-Aime spoke to IGN about how Ultimate Alliance 3 ended up on Nintendo Switch as an exclusive.

The third entry comes long after Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 debuted in 2009. Marvel Games worked in conjunction with Koei Tecmo, Team Ninja, and Nintendo to bring the latest entry in the franchise to life. It will feature drop-in abd drop-out co-op online, as well as allowing four players to team up on the same Switch system.
