It’s been nearly eight years since the launch of Civilization 6, and now–thanks to Gamescom Opening Night Live–we have an official release date for Sid Meier’s Civilization 7. The long-awaited strategy game arrives on February 11, 2025 for PC, Xbox, PS5, and Switch, with select versions offering early access on February 6. Four different versions are up for preorder, including the Collector’s Edition loaded with physical goodies. If you favor physical media, you’ll definitely want to take a look at the Deluxe Edition, which comes with a bunch of post-launch DLC.

And if you want to learn more before placing your preorder, read our Civilization 7 hands-on preview for an in-depth look at the long-awaited 4X strategy sequel.

Here’s a closer look at all Civilization 7 preorders, plus any preorder bonuses that come with your purchase. And if February sounds far away, you can pass some of the time by reading Sid Meier’s Memoir: A Life in Computer Games. Published in 2020, this superb book takes you inside the mind of one of the most influential game developers. You can purchase a hardcover copy for $20.80 (was $28) or paperback for $15.26 (was $17).

Civilization 7 Preorder Bonuses

If you preorder Civilization 7 standard edition, you’ll get the Tecumseh and Shawnee Pack, which is otherwise limited to the deluxe and founder’s editions. We might see retailer-specific bonuses announced in the coming weeks, but for now, this is the only bonus. Be sure to check back frequently, as we’ll update this article when any new bonuses are revealed.
