While all eyes are on Amazon ahead of Prime Day 2023, a few other retailers are joining in on the summer fun with promotions of their own. Over at Newegg, the tech and gaming supplier has started the presale for its annual FantasTech promotion with big discounts on PC games and gaming hardware. If you were ever looking to get into PC gaming or you’re looking to upgrade your existing rig, now’s a great time to check out these specials. More deals will be available July 10-14, but the presale has some deals that are worth considering.

On the hardware front, some of the standout deals are focused on Nvidia’s line of 30-series GPUs. While the 40-series line is newer, the previous line of GPUs arguably offer more bang for buck when it comes to 1080p and 1440p gaming, and with Nvidia’s DLSS technology, you can easily maximize those pixel gains. Plenty of 8GB 3060 GPUs are on sale right now, and these cards are also superb for handling content creation workloads like video editing.

For storage, you just can’t beat an SSD when it comes to speedy reliability. A number of M2 and internal SSDs are on sale, so you can easily rejuvenate your PC or laptop with a 1TB or even a 2TB power-up to its storage capacity. RAM isn’t too badly priced either, and you can give your system a nice little boost with this handy upgrade.

More Prime Day deals

On the games side of the sale, Newegg has a number of recent PlayStation ports discounted. These games have been highlights of the PS5 era so far, and on PC, they flex some extra graphical muscle by taking advantage of the strengths of that system to deliver more impressive lighting effects, ultrawide support, and sharper images.

Gaming laptops and PCs

Gaming laptops can offer a good mix of portable power and stylish design, and at Newegg, you can get your hands on the svelte frames of Acer, Asus, and MSI models. If you’d prefer a more powerful gaming PC, prebuilt desktop options include plenty of models with 30- and 40-series GPUs, high storage capacity models, and enough RAM to handle even the most demanding of tasks.

Components

For a quick upgrade, you can’t go wrong with a new GPU. The 3060 RTX GPUs are an affordable option, and Radeon’s line of GPUs are also worth considering. Just make certain that you have the right power supply unit to handle the demands of these energy-thirsty pieces of gaming hardware.

Storage and memory

These days, increasing your storage capacity is as easy as opening up your PC, inserting an M2 drive into the right slot, and quickly setting it up in your PC disk manager program. There’s a great variety of SSDs on sale here, from NVMe to SATA models, and you can also pump up the RAM with some eye-catching deals on memory.

Monitors

A good monitor will last you years, and in Newegg’s sale, there’s no shortage of them on offer. Some of the highlights below offer excellent Full HD and 1440p gaming experiences and also feature AMD and Nvidia tech to make screen-tearing non-existent.

PC games

Lastly, you’re going to need some games to play on your new machines! Sony’s excellent God of War, Spider-Man, and Uncharted games just got big discounts, and you can also grab evergreen games like the Batman collection of Arkham adventures and NBA 2K23 at a bargain price.
