Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name is seemingly releasing on November 9 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.

The leak is according to the PlayStation Store price-tracking website called PSDeals. The story follows original series protagonist Kazuma Kiryu after he faked his own death to protect his family. Under the new name Joryu, he’s back in the yakuza lifestyle as a mysterious figure has forced him out of hiding.

The listing says that there will be offline co-op multiplayer between two players and that those who purchase the PS4 version of the game can upgrade to the PS5 digital one for no extra cost.

However, the PS4 disc must be inserted into the PS5 in order to download or play the PS5 digital copy. That also means that PS4 disc owners aren’t eligible for the upgrade if the PS5 console they own is the disc-free digital edition.

Developer Ryu Ga Gotoku is holding its own showcase on June 15, which is where an official announcement for the game’s release date will most likely be. The studio is also currently working on Like a Dragon 8, a sequel to 2020’s Yakuza: Like a Dragon. It’s due out sometime in 2024.
