Getting your hands on an original Nintendo Game & Watch can be expensive and challenging, but fortunately, there’s a modern-day version of the beloved handheld electronic that is technologically superior and still has plenty of retro charm to its design. If you’ve been looking to grab one, Best Buy and GameStop are currently offering the Zelda model at a low price.
Normally $50, you can grab a Legend of Zelda Game & Watch for just $34 at Best Buy and $31.48 at GameStop. While the GameStop offering is cheaper, it only includes free shipping if you spend $59 or more, but there is an option to pick up your purchase inside of your local store. Best Buy does include free shipping with its deal.
This particular Game & Watch contains three full Legend of Zelda games from the NES and Game Boy era. You’ll be able to play The Legend of Zelda, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, and The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening on this portable device, which is small enough to easily fit inside of your pocket. The Game & Watch also has a superb LCD screen, the case features Hyrule symbols on it, and there’s also a version of the Game & Watch classic, Vermin, starring Link, and a playable clock and timer.
This is a great little gadget to have, and even if you’re not planning to buy one for yourself, it makes for a great gift for any Nintendo fan in your life.
