CyberConnect 2 and Bandai Namco’s upcoming Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot open-world RPG is filled with story moments, some apparently answer “burning questions” Dragon Ball fans have been waiting for. We don’t know what the questions are, but we won’t have long to wait, as the game is slated to launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on January 17.
The trailer, which unfolds like a commercial for the animated show, teases the story moments, and also does a nice job of walking through the activities players will be engaged with, which range from flying and fighting to the more mundane (and exciting) fishing and eating. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot explores the Frieza, Cell, and Buu sagas. Players will likely be taking deep dives into all of these classic tales, and if the trailer can be believed, will learn more about them in meaningful ways.
