Capcom has seemingly issued invites to US-based members of its RE Ambassadors program to test a new game currently in development.”Hi Resident Evil

Ambassadors,” reads the email, via Biohaze. “Today we’re reaching out to recruit potential testers from our loyal RE Ambassador community to try out a new game in early development.”

Applicants must live in Los Angeles and be available on September 20 or 21, or be based in New York and free on September 23 or 24. The email notes that participants won’t be compensated for their time or travel.

The only requirement – aside from RE Ambassador membership – is that each player “has played a Resident Evil title in the past.” The email follows a similar one sent out last week to Japanese program members to take part in tests happening on the 8 and 9 of September.

It’s unclear what this new game is. It could be another remake of an older game in the Resident Evil series, Resident Evil 8, or even an entirely new spin-off series. For a trip down memory lane, check out our roundup of every IGN Resident Evil review.
