Respawn Entertainment producer Tina Sanchez appears to be teasing a new character for Apex Legends, according to Dot Esports.
Sanchez posted two images to Twitter on August 1, showing her wearing a motion capture suit as well as holding a cane.

That wouldn’t be much to go on, but when asked if the post was in relation to Crypto, the supposed upcoming character that’s been previously teased, Sanchez responded with a closed mouth emoji.
In previous teases or leaks, images of Crypto have shown the character possessing a sword. Data miners have also found files titled “DEATH_SWORD,” according to Dot Esports. Sanchez’s cane could be a prop used to mimic Crypto’s sword. It’s worth noting that Sanchez is joined by another person wearing a motion capture suit, too.
Apex Legends season 2 started off with some drastic changes to its map, and the introduction of Wattson, a woman with the ability to create defensive electric fences. Crypto, meanwhile, has seemingly been teased since the debut of season 2’s launch trailer, where a mysterious figure triggers an explosion that leads to the map being invaded by local wildlife.
Joseph Knoop is a writer/producer for IGN, and as long as Crypto ain’t selling currency, we’re cool.
