The rumours were true.
The much-rumoured Switch port of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is real, and it’s coming this year.
The Witcher 3: Complete Edition appears to be running entirely on the Switch hardware, rather than the cloud-based solutions we’ve seen for other demanding games. As such, it’s suffered a fairly heavy visual downgrade but looks to run well enough in the gameplay that was shown.
The Complete Edition comes with both expansions released after the original game’s launch, as well as 16 DLC packs.
We awarded the original Witcher 3 a 9.3 review, calling it a “wild, open, exhilarating fantasy roleplaying experience, rife with opportunities to make use of its excellent combat.”
This announcement is yet another tick on the list of the biggest rumours going into E3 2019.
