Download those episodes before it’s too late.
Episodes from Minecraft: Story Mode – A Telltale Games Series will no longer be available to download later this month.
Revealed via the official Minecraft website, both Season 1 and 2 of Story Mode will no longer be supported. The post urges customers who have purchased those seasons to download all of the episodes prior to their being discontinued on June 25.
Story Mode was created for PC, PS3, PS4, PSVita, Wii U, Nintendo Switch, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Android and iOS devices. A modified version of Story Mode is currently available on Netflix, though that version appears to be in no danger of being delisted. Season 1 consists of eight episodes, while Season 2 is made up of five.
Following Telltale Games’ sudden closure in 2018, various games from the studio began being removed from online storefronts. In the case of Story Mode, those who already purchased the seasons will be unable to download them indefinitely later this month.
In our Minecraft: Story Mode Season 1 review, we called the game a “lighthearted adventure that employs the voice talents of top comedians in a story that takes you from the Overworld to the Nether, and everywhere in between.”
