Head of Respawn Entertainment Vince Zampella confirmed today that Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order will be a single-player story game with no multiplayer and no microtransactions.
He made the announcement at Star Wars Celebration in an interview with IGN’s own Max Scoville, saying with no uncertainty “No multiplayer, no microtransactions, it’s a story game,” which was met with cheers from the audience. You can watch the exact moment here.
After Zampella’s reveal, multiple other developers from EA took to Twitter to confirm what he had said and express their excitement, including Respawn Producer Blair Brown and DICE’s Ben Walke.
Zampella also said that you will play as a padawan who survived after Order 66, the command at the end of Episode 3 that was intended to wipe out all Jedi. You’ll follow that padawan’s journey during the game, but Zampella didn’t say to what end.
More will be revealed about Jedi Fallen Order tomorrow during a panel, but in the meantime here’s every clue we pulled from its first poster. You can also check out everything we know about Jedi Fallen Order so far.
