The Cortex is full of information about the world of Anthem. This page will help you find all the Cortex Item Locations in Fort Tarsis.
Striders[edit]
How To Find: When you regain control of your character in Fort Tarsis, turn left and head straight towards the closed gate. Pass the guard in the Javelin and turn right and you’ll find the Striders item laying on the ground.
How To Find: Starting from where you first arrived in Fort Tarsis, turn right and head towards the Vault. On a table, to the left of the Vault NPC, you’ll find the Interceptor item.
How To Find: From where you first arrived in Fort Tarsis, turn left and head up the stairs. After reaching the top of the staircase, turn right and you’ll find the Ranger item sitting on a box.
Shaper Relics[edit]
How To Find: From where you first arrive in Fort Tarsis, head forward and down the stairs to the right. Once you reach the bottom, turn right. The Shaper Relics item will be on a shelf to your left.
Cyphers[edit]
How To Find: After your first contract mission, you’ll appear by the News table. Turn around and you’ll find the Cyphers Cortex entry.
The Gateway[edit]
How To Find: After completing your first contract mission, you’ll appear by the News table. Turn around and head up towards the stairs. On the stone water basin next to the staircase, you’ll find the Cortex entry for The Gateway.
Shopping List[edit]
How To Find: After completing your first Incursion, new areas of Fort Tarsis will open up. Head down to where Owen is usually hanging out and head left, through the newly opened area. Head through the doorway and up the stairs to the left and, at the top of the landing, you’ll find the Shopping List item.
Detective Hops Mysteries[edit]
How To Find: After your first Incursion, new areas of Fort Tarsis will unlock. From your Javelin, head through the market and walk through the big double doors. Continue up the stairs and turn left. You’ll see a man leaning forward on a table next to a radio. Turn the radio on to obtain the Detective Hops Mysteries item for the Cortex.
The Legion Of Dawn[edit]
How To Find: After your first Incursion, new areas of Fort Tarsis will unlock. From your Javelin, head through the market and walk through the big double doors. Continue up the stairs and turn right. You’ll find the Legion Of Dawn Cortex item laying on a stone bench along the wall.
Laundry Ticket[edit]
How To Find: After your first Incursion, new areas of Fort Tarsis will unlock. From your Javelin, head through the market and walk through the big double doors. Continue up the stairs and turn right and you’ll find the Laundry Ticket item in a bag sitting against the wall.
General Helena Tarsis[edit]
How To Find: After your first Incursion, new areas of Fort Tarsis will unlock. From your Javelin, head through the market and walk through the big double doors. Continue up the stairs and walk forward, towards the water fixture, and you’ll find the General Helena Tarsis Cortex item on a table to your left.
Fashion Club Announcement[edit]
How To Find: After your first Incursion, new areas of Fort Tarsis will unlock. From your Javelin, head through the market and walk through the big double doors. Continue up the stairs and walk forward, towards the water fixture, and you’ll find the Fashion Club Announcement Cortex item on a table to your left.
How To Find: After your first Incursion, new areas of Fort Tarsis will unlock. From your Javelin, head through the market and walk through the big double doors. Continue up the stairs and turn right at the water fixture. Head through the doorway and follow the corridor to the right and you’ll find the Storm item sitting on the floor next to Matthias.
The Anthem Of Creation[edit]
How To Find: After your first Incursion, new areas of Fort Tarsis will unlock. From your Javelin, head through the market and walk through the big double doors. Continue up the stairs and turn right at the water fixture. Head through the doorway and follow the corridor to the right and you’ll find the Anthem Of Creation item sitting on a table across from Matthias.
Safety Meeting Poster[edit]
How To Find: After your first Incursion, new areas of Fort Tarsis will unlock. From your Javelin, head through the market and walk through the big double doors. Continue up the stairs and walk forward to the water fixture. Head left and you’ll find the Safety Meeting Poster Cortex item pinned to the wall.
The Crimson Lancer[edit]
How To Find: After your first Incursion, new areas of Fort Tarsis will unlock. From your Javelin, head through the market and walk through the big double doors. Continue up the stairs and walk forward, past the water fixture. Head left through the walkway and you’ll find a radio on top of a crate. Turn it on to obtain the Crimson Lancer Cortex item.
Pirndel Container Warning[edit]
How To Find: After your first Incursion, new areas of Fort Tarsis will unlock. From your Javelin, head through the market and walk through the big double doors. Continue up the stairs and walk forward, past the water fixture. Head left through the walkway and you’ll find the Pirndel Container Warning Cortex item pinned to a wall next to Pirndel Blatch, the Fort Tarsis custodian.
Tessi the Tesilar[edit]
How To Find: After your first Incursion, new areas of Fort Tarsis will unlock. From your Javelin, head through the market and walk through the big double doors. Continue up the stairs and walk forward, past the water fixture. Head left through the walkway and follow it all the way to the end and you’ll find the Tessi the Tesilar Cortex item on the ground just beyond a gate.
Announcement: Grain Shortage[edit]
How To Find: After your first Incursion, new areas of Fort Tarsis will unlock. From your Javelin, head through the market and walk through the big double doors. Continue up the stairs and walk forward, past the water fixture. Head up the stairs and then head left and you’ll find the Announcement: Grain Shortage Cortex item on a table to the right.
General Helena Tarsis (Second Entry)[edit]
How To Find: After your first Incursion, new areas of Fort Tarsis will unlock. From your Javelin, head through the market and walk through the big double doors. Continue up the stairs and walk forward, past the water fixture. Head up the stairs and then continue to the right and you’ll find the second General Helena Tarsis entry laying on a stool.
The Anthem Of Creation (Second Entry)[edit]

Continue up the stairs and walk forward, past the water fixture. Head to the right before the staircase and you’ll find the second Anthem of Creation entry on a table next to The Bard.

Announcement: The Governor is Dead[edit]
How To Find: After your first Incursion, new areas of Fort Tarsis will unlock. From your Javelin, head through the market and walk through the big double doors. Continue up the stairs and walk forward, past the water fixture. Head to the right before the staircase and walk past The Bard, through the hallway, and down the stairs to find the Announcement: The Governor is Dead Cortex item on a table.
