Fortnite’s Share the Love event is in full swing with Overtime Challenges, the chance to unlock the upcoming Season 8 Battle Pass for free, and the ability to unlock the Heartspan Glider by gifting it to a friend, free of charge.
In order to get the free gift, you’ll need to work with someone on your friend’s list but you’ll also have to have 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication) enabled. Check our How to Enable Two-Factor Authentication guide to get it working and to unlock the free Boogie Down emote released last year.
So, how do you get the Heartspan Glider? Hop into the Battle Royale lobby and open the Item Shop tab. If you haven’t already sent the gift, you should be able to see the Heartspan Glider in the shop.
Click on it and hit the “Buy As A Gift” option. Note the V-Bucks needed is set to zero. From there you’ll have the option to send the Glider to anyone on your friend’s list. Select your friend and hit Continue. Before sending it off, pick the color you’d like your present to arrive in and leave behind a personalized message. Try to make it as heartfelt as possible.
After you hit Send, your friend should receive it immediately or the next time the log into their account.
Are you in a group of friends with an odd number? In order to have everyone receive the free glider, have person A gift the glider to person B, then B to C, and finally C to A. Everyone wins!
