Bandai Namco Studios Vancouver has reportedly closed. The news comes from Tekken mobile game director and studio senior vice president Landon Nguyen on Twitter.

“I’m sad to announce that as of today Bandai Namco Studios Vancouver will be shutting down,” Nguyen said in a tweet. “I want to thank everyone who came with us on this journey. We shipped some awesome experiences together. Thank you to all the fans who supported our games and our studio.”

The studio worked on multiple titles including the popular Pac-Man 256. The team was also responsible for Tekken Mobile, Tap My Katamari, and Pac-Man Bounce.

We’ve reached out to Bandai Namco for confirmation and comment. We will update this story if a statement is received.

Our Take
It’s always awful to learn about a studio closure, and this is no different. We hope those affected by the closure land on their feet and are able to find something new soon.
