Alita: Battle Angel, the upcoming movie based on Yukito Kishiro’s 1990 manga of the same name, has been stirring up feelings since its first reveal months ago. The Robert Rodriguez and James Cameron movie wears its anime influences on its sleeve, and its face, and the new trailer reinforces that well.
The trailer shows what’s at stake for Alita, as well as the various dangers she’s going to be facing. You probably trade away a lot of your cyborg advantages when your opponents have blade arms and are also mechanical, but we’ll see how it works out in the actual movie.
