Fortnite Season 9 is going to last a little bit longer than the normal ten weeks. For that reason, a new set of Overtime Challenges were released on July 23, 2019. This is a set of twelve challenges that will offer tons of Skins, XP, and a few Loading Screens. Those who complete all twelve challenges will be awarded 15,000 XP on top of all the individual challenge rewards.
Below you can find a list of all twelve Overtime Challenges. However, only half of them have unlocked so far! You can read more about each challenge by clicking on the challenge name in the list below.
Stage 1: Reach Battle Pass Tier 23[edit]
To complete this challenge, players will need to complete two separate stages. Completing this challenge will earn players a Bunker Jonesy Outfit (Bunker Days set) for each stage that is completed.
Below are both stages of this challenge:
As you can see, completing the first part of this challenge won’t be too difficult, as most players are likely already way past Tier 23. However, if you haven’t made it that far, check out our Weekly Challenges guides to earn some extra XP.
As for the second part of this challenge, you’ll need to complete three of the Overtime Challenges. Seems simple, right?
Stage 1: Reach Battle Pass Tier 71[edit]
To complete this challenge, players will need to complete two separate stages. Completing this challenge will earn players a Stratus Outfit (Storm Stalker set) for each stage that is completed.
Below are both stages of this challenge:
Much like the previous challenge, completing stage one shouldn’t be too difficult and if you’ve been following along with the Weekly Challenges, then you’ve likely already made it to Tier 71. However, if you haven’t, check out our Weekly Challenges guides to help you earn some extra XP.
The second stage of this challenge will require players to complete six of the Overtime Challenges. Keep reading for more information on how to complete the other challenges.
Stage 1: Reach Battle Pass Tier 87[edit]
To complete this challenge, players will need to complete two separate stages. Completing this challenge will earn players a Demi Outfit (Scarlet Dragon set) for each stage that is completed.
Below are both stages of this challenge:
Completing the first stage of the challenge is more of the same ole same ole. If you’ve been playing a lot in Season 9, then you’ve probably made it to Tier 87 already. However, if you’re needing to catch up a bit, our Weekly Challenges guides will help you earn some extra XP.
The second challenge will require players to complete nine of the Overtime Challenges. If you follow along with the rest of this guide, then you shouldn’t have too much trouble!
Work together with Friends to get eliminations[edit]
To complete this challenge, players will need to work with Friends to get 25 eliminations. Completing this challenge will earn players 2,500 XP.
The key to this challenge is that you must get eliminations while playing with friends, not strangers, friends. Grab a friend (or a couple) and get ready to play lots of Duos and Squads.
It is important to note that you and your friend must take part in getting the elimination in order for it to count. So both you an a friend must damage an opponent to get an elimination for this challenge. Whoever deals damage will get credit for an elimination.
If you want to switch it up, you can also get eliminations in an alternate game mode. It actually seems like Team Rumble might be the way to go for this challenge, as kills can be racked up quickly.
To complete this challenge, players will need to deal 2,500 damage to opponents with Shotguns. Completing this challenge will earn players 2,500 XP.
This challenge isn’t too confusing, but will likely take some time. Thankfully, Epic has decided to show players some mercy and is allowing Party Assist on this challenge. This means that you can complete the challenge with other players. If you choose this option, any damage that is dealt by a member of your party will count towards your goal and vice versa.
Party Assist can be turned on for this challenge by going to the Overtime Challenges list and finding the individual challenge. From there you will be able to turn on Party Assist by clicking on the challenge.
Visit Look Lake, Polar Peak, and Pressure Plant[edit]
To complete this challenge, players will need to visit Loot Lake, Polar Peak, and Pressure Plant. Completing this challenge will earn players a Ready to Fight Loading Screen.
This is by far one of the easiest Overtime Challenges. All you need to do is visit these three locations and you’ll be able to check this off your list.
You’ll need to visit all of these location in a single game to complete this challenge. However, you do not have to go to them in order! If you can find a vehicle, that’ll definitely make this challenge a lot easier!
Revive a Friend in different matches[edit]
To complete this challenge, players will need to revive a Friend in three different matches. Completing this challenge will earn players 5,000 XP.
Like other challenges, the key here is that you must revive a friend, not a stranger. There are a couple of ways to go about this. However, the easiest seems to be to hop into Duos or Squads, go to a remote location, and jump off of a high building while taking turns reviving each other.
If you follow that method, you and your friend will knock out this challenge in no time.
To complete this challenge, players will need to deal 2,500 damage to opponents with an Assault Rifle. Completing this challenge will earn players 5,000 XP.
Like the Shotgun challenge, this one won’t necessarily be hard, but it will be time consuming. Thankfully, this is another challenge that offers Party Assist, so if you play with some friends/strangers it will go by a lot faster.
If you’re not sure how to turn on Party Assist, simply go to the Overtime Challenges and find this individual challenge. Once there, you will see an option to toggle on Party Assist for this challenge.
Dance at a Monster Skeleton[edit]
To complete this challenge, players will need to dance at a Monster Skeleton. Completing this challenge will earn players the Quest for the Cup Loading Screen.
This challenge is pretty simple if you know where the monster skeleton is located. If you don’t, no worries, we’ve done the work for you! You can see the exact location of the monster skeleton on the map below.
As you land on the skeleton, simply choose your dance move of choice and bust a move. Once you do that, you’ll complete this challenge!
