See a Halo Ring, a Warthog, and so much more.

Halo: Outpost Discovery is headed to five major cities in the U.S. and will allow visitors to “Explore a Halo Ring, get up close and personal with a real-life Warthog, battle fellow recruits in an epic laser tag arena, experience thrilling in-universe encounters with the latest simulation and VR technologies and much, much more.”

As announced during today’s Inside Xbox, Halo: Discovery Outpost is more or less a traveling Halo theme park that aims to give fans a place to celebrate the beloved franchise and immerse themselves in everything Halo for an entire weekend.

The five cities that will host Halo: Outpost in its first year will be;

  • July 5-7 – Orlando, FL
  • July 19-21 – Philadelphia, PA
  • August 2-3 – Chicago, IL
  • August 16-18 – Houston, TX
  • August 30-September 1 – Anaheim, CA

These events will take place in an over 300,000 square feet area and will also allow visitors to play and compete it titles in the Halo franchise, attend panels, meet the creators and special guests, learn how the Halo universe is made, learn how to livestream and cosplay, participate in an escape room, and so much more.

343 Industries is partnering with Herschend Live, who is most well known for helping produce such other events as Harlem Globetrotters and Dollywood.

Halo: Discovery Outpost is another example of 343 Industries using the Halo brand for good, as late last year it announced that it was partnering with Limbitless Solutions to provide Halo-themed, 3D-printed prosthetic arms for “young heroes who – like the Master Chief himself – also routinely and triumphantly beat the odds.”

All these are also leading up to the release of Halo: Infinite, which was announced at E3 2018, and will feature 4-player split screens, Halo: Reach customization and much more.
