James Khan, the author of the novelisation of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, has written his own memoir, entitled My Jedi Memoir: A Double Life, looking back at over twenty years of writing novelizations.
It’s a recounting of my 20 years writing novelizations, writing TV series like Star Trek and Melrose Place, and working in emergency rooms. The novelization section is focused most intensely on Return of the Jedi, including my thought processes while writing it, insights into key elements, a scene by scene analysis of the entire novel, with a few surprises, and photocopies of some of my original manuscript pages.
I also go into a number of ER stories, how I brought them into my writing, and how my two worlds, Hollywood and hospitals, bounced off each other, and off my family life.
My Jedi Memoir: A Double Life is available now from Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk and other booksellers — happy reading!
