Square Enix has announced that it is delaying Final Fantasy VII Remake by approximately a month, moving its release date on the PS4 from March 3 to April 10.

In a message at the publisher/developer’s official website, producer Yoshinori Kitase apologized on behalf of the entire development team and said, “We are making this tough decision in order to give ourselves a few extra weeks to apply final polish to the game and to deliver you with the best possible experience.”

The game that comes out on April 10 will only be the first installment of Final Fantasy VII Remake, a title that spans multiple parts. Square has said that each one will be a full-length game in its own right, although it has not announced exactly how many parts Remake contains.
