Cyberpunk 2077 is focused on player control. When you’re creating your character–which no longer will have a sex option, but rather a body type–you’ll choose their background too. This will play into the game’s lore and influence certain choices that can be made in conversations.
The intention is to keep options open, so any player can play any number of ways that they choose. There is no defined class system, but rather three sorts of skill trees you can build out: netrunner, solo and techie. Today’s video showed the strength-based solo build and a stealthy netrunner build.
From the deep dive video, much of the combat surrounds different gang conflicts. The two featured are the Animals and the Voodoo Boys. But the game isn’t limited to just their wars–there’s also the corpos and the NetWatch, of which you can betray and ally with however you please.
