Nintendo, Universal Pictures, and Illumination waited a long time to unveil Yoshi in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, and an even longer period before revealing that Donald Glover will lend his voice to the friendly dinosaur in the film. But apparently someone guessed that Glover was playing Yoshi all the way back in December 2024.
X user silversfan06–who posts as Silver the Hedgehog–shared a post that’s now gone viral for its simple prediction: “Donald Glover as Yoshi.”

No one is more surprised about the accuracy of that prediction than Silver, who responded to the now popular post with the following message: “I don’t know, I just thought it was good casting.” Silver has also shared a few humorous responses to calls for more predictions.
