The 76th Primetime Emmy Awards took place on Sunday evening, and Prime Video’s Fallout TV show–based on the game series–took home multiple awards. The live-action show won the Emmys for Outstanding Music Supervision and Outstanding Emerging Media Program. It was nominated for 16 total awards.
For Outstanding Music Supervision, Fallout beat out titles like Baby Reindeer, Fargo, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, and Only Murders in the Building. For the Outstanding Emerging Media Program category, Fallout won over the video games and VR titles Emperor, Louis the Child: Red Rocks – Live in VR, The Pirate Queen, and The Grand Getaway.
Before this, the only live-action video game TV show to win an Emmy was HBO’s The Last of Us, which scored eight Emmy wins for its first season. Netflix’s animated League of Legends show, Arcane, previously won four Emmys.
Congratulations to the whole team at @falloutonprime and @kilter_films on the well-deserved Emmy wins! What an incredible moment to share with the whole team and our community.

The Fallout TV show was produced by Prime Video and Kilter Films. It stars Walton Goggins, Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, and Kyle MacLachlan. Bethesda, which develops the Fallout games, said, “What an incredible moment to share with the whole team and our community.”
Fallout Season 2 is now in the works and could take the story to the fan-favorite location of New Vegas. Co-showrunner Graham Wagner said Season 2 could also feature Deathclaws, which are genetically created creatures in the Fallout lore. The team wanted to have Deathclaws in Season 1, but decided to save them for Season 2 “to be able to do it properly.”
“So Season 2, we’re very excited to finally tackle one of the most iconic elements of the games,” Wagner said.
