Like every video game, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was built on a foundation of art that helped inform its design. Developer Insomniac Games has put its own spin on the iconic superhero, and if you’re interested in getting to peek behind the curtain to learn about the development of the excellent spider-sequel, then you’ll want to grab the brand-new book The Art of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Published by Dark Horse, the official art book released today (June 18), and you can save big on the deluxe collector’s version, shown below, at Amazon.
This art book is available in two editions–a standard and a deluxe version–and is packed with never-before-seen concept art, creator commentary, and storyboards across 248 pages that show just how the game came together. The regular edition is priced at $41.53 on Amazon (normally $50) and is an oversized hardcover book that celebrates the art and artistry behind this game.
The deluxe version retails for double the price, but Amazon is offering a steep discount, dropping the price from $100 to less than $80. The deluxe edition has different cover, a slick slipcase, and a gallery-quality print that you can have framed.
