This is no Jedi mind trick. One artful Lego Fortnite player constructed the podracing course from Star Wars: The Phantom Menace inside of the game, with Lando Calrissian getting behind the handles to show off the Tatooine track.

Dextero recently highlighted the podracing recreation on X (formerly known as Twitter), but the person behind this Lego Fortnite and Star Wars design is actually Reddit user AoP_Paynekillers. They said last month that “the goal is to stay in the pylons and not hit the geysers” while navigating the track. In addition to the course, there are stands and an announcers’ booth.

Last month, a Star Wars pass arrived in Fortnite as part of a big May the 4th event. This brought Calrissian to the game for the first time, along with Dagobah Luke Skywalker (with both getting Lego versions). While adult Anakin Skywalker is in Fortnite, there is no young Ani skin–hence why he couldn’t pilot the podracer.

Lego Fortnite officially got vehicles as part of a March update, with players now able to publish their own Lego games, too. The game was added to Fortnite along with Rocket Racing and Fortnite Festival in December.

This isn’t the first time someone has used a classic movie for inspiration in the game. Earlier this year, a Lego Fortnite player recreated Helm’s Deep from The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.
