We’re halfway through January—where is the time going?—and Microsoft has revealed the rest of the games you can download this month with your Xbox Game Pass subscription. The crop is good, featuring a dungeon-crawling RPG, a monster collector, a social sim turn-based RPG, and more for your amusement.

For the rest of this month, you get six titles of your choosing—and a tasty seventh at the start of February. Starting with the game that’s available right now, Camel 101’s first-person psychological thriller Those Who Remain looks to be a terrifying jaunt down quiet streets and moonlit fields for survival horror fans. On January 18, you can download the charming Turnip Boy Robs a Bank, developer Snoozy Kazoo’s sequel to the adorable dungeon-crawling RPG Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion. On the same day, EA’s hardcore racing simulator F1 23 is for grabs. The ridiculous-looking “Pokémon with guns” monster collector Palworld from developer Pocketpair goes up on January 19. White Peak Games’ twin-stick shooter roguelike Go Mecha Ball will be available on January 25, while developer Blobfish’s Vampire Survivors-like bullet-hell Brotato hits Xbox Game Pass on January 30. That’s a lot of variety in a short span.
The cherry on top of January’s mostly indie games sundae is Persona 3 Reload, Atlus’ remake of the 2006 role-playing social sim adventure game Persona 3. It does what you’d expect from a remake: improves upon various features like audio and visuals while remaining faithful to what made the OG so beloved. However, it also introduces an important change to the social aspects of the game by making its male cast open for hangouts in a feature called “linked episodes.” As Kotaku staff writer Kenneth Shepard explained in his Persona 3 Reload hands-on preview, this significant update finally lets the boys bond more intimately with each other, something Shepard hopes the series grows upon in future Persona entries.
