Remnant 2 developer Gunfire Games confirmed its upcoming project includes a 60 frames per second Performance Mode on consoles.
The news comes from Gunfire Games president David Adams, who took to Twitter to invite fans to ask him a question, and he would pick which ones to answer. Adams decided to answer a few, revealing the option to turn off motion blur, plans for post-launch content, and confirmation that the console versions of Remnant 2 will include a Performance Mode that will allow players to play the game at 60fps.
Ok. So far these are easy. 1) yes you can turn off motion blur 2) No. No swamp stuff. Sorry. 3) Yes. There is a 60fps performance mode on console XSX and PS5. It may dip occasionally but it’s overall pretty solid.

A sequel to 2019’s Remnant: From the Ashes, Remnant 2 is a co-op looter shooter developed by Gunfire Games. Remnant 2 was announced at The Game Awards 2022 and promises to deliver more unique loot to collect and daunting challenges for you and two friends to discover and tackle. In June, we learned Remnant 2 will launch on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S on July 25.
In IGN’s review of the original game, which we awarded an 8 out of 10 on our review scale, we said: “Remnant: From the Ashes is a co-op action RPG that’s punishing and grotesque but exciting and beautiful all at the same time.” For more information about Remnant 2, check out our hands-on preview and a detailed look at the developer’s ambitious procedurally generated levels and storylines.
