Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is coming to theaters this weekend, and there will be plenty more Spider-Man films to come after that.
Producer Amy Pascal told Variety that a live-action Miles Morales movie is in the works, as well as a Spider-Woman film. “You’ll see all of it,” Pascal said. “It’s all happening.” Another producer, Avi Arad, said the Spider-Woman movie is coming “sooner than you expect.”
Additionally, a fourth Spider-Man movie starring Tom Holland and Zendaya remains in the works, but Pascal said the ongoing writers’ strike has caused the movie to go on pause.
“Are we going to make another movie? Of course, we are,” she said. “We’re in the process, but the writers strike, nobody is working during the strike. We’re all being supporters and whenever they get themselves together, we’ll get started.”
Holland has personally advocated for a Spider-Woman movie. “We’ve had three Spider-Mans in a row; we’ve all been the same. It’d be nice to see something different,” he said in 2021.
After Across the Spider-Verse, another animated entry, Beyond the Spider-Verse, is set for release in 2024. Another Spider-Man movie in the works is El Muerto starring Bad Bunny. A Madame Web movie starring Dakota Johnson and Sydney Sweeney is also in development.
