The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom players have been making some wild creations in the game since launch, but this particular creation surpasses everything else we’ve seen so far. Over on Twitter, user Uran120 unveiled not just a replica of the iconic Metal Gear Rex from 1998’s Metal Gear Solid, but a functional one as well. It’s complete with a bare-chested Linkquid Snake, who’s ready to fight anyone on top of the creation in a no-shirts-allowed brawl.
At this point, it shouldn’t be surprising to see TOTK players cobble something new up using the game’s Ultrahand and Fuse abilities with spare Zonaite technology, but every week has a fresh reveal. So far, players have used the new gameplay systems to create orbital weapons platforms, torture devices for Koroks, and much more.
If you’re looking to master the TOTK Zonaite industrial age, you can check out the Zelda Builds website, which is regularly updated with new creations from the Zelda fan community. You can also check out our autobuild guide to see how you can use this powerful ability inside of the game.
In other Metal Gear news, fans have a lot to be happy about. The Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Volume One–HD remasters of the first three MGS games–will be released on the “latest platforms” in Autumn 2023.
The big news from this week’s PlayStation Showcase was the reveal of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, a remake of Metal Gear Solid that keeps the original story and voice actor cast intact, and upgrades the gameplay and visuals. This new spin on Snake Eater will be sneaking onto PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, but there’s no release window for it yet.
