Preorder Yakuza Remastered Collection
The Yakuza Remastered Collection is only available at Amazon at the time of writing. So far, it hasn’t popped up at any of the other retailers. If it does, we’ll make sure to update the post.
What Comes With the Yakuza Remastered Collection Physical Edition
As far as collectible physical editions go, the Yakuza Remastered Collection is pretty excellent, especially since it’s priced like a regular game. Inside the Yakuza Remastered Collection are physical copies of Yakuza 3, Yakuza 4, and Yakuza 5. To celebrate the first-time physical release of Yakuza 5 in the West, Sega went ahead and included a PS3 box for you to store it in with the rest of your PS3 Yakuza collection.
It all comes in a “a striking red collectible case, emblazoned with Kiryu’s trademark Dragon tattoo.”
As far as improvements to the games themselves, content previously missing from Western releases has been added back into the games, and the scripts have been worked over and in some cases, completely overhauled, to improve localization. All three games also get a visual bump, going from 720p/30fps to 1080p/60fps.
If you buy the Yakuza Remastered Collection on the PlayStation Store, you can start playing Yakuza 3 right now, then Yakuza 4 Remastered on October 29 and finally Yakuza 5 Remastered on February 11.
If you don’t mind waiting, you can start playing all three when the Yakuza Remastered Collection Day 1 edition releases on February 11.
Play the Other Yakuza Games While You Wait
February 11 is a long time to wait for the physical editions of Yakuza 3, Yakuza 4, and Yakuza 5, but you can bide your time playing through the rest of the games available on PS4.
