Superhot, the action game where time moves only when you do, appears to be coming to the Nintendo Switch in the near future.

Daniel Ahmad, a video game industry analyst at Niko Partners, also tweeted that two games would be “shadow dropped” during Nintendo’s IndieWorld Direct presentation on August 19.
Two games will be shadow dropped. Both games are Hot.
We’ll also get solid 2019 release dates for Creature in the Well, Blasphemous, Northgard, Trine 4, One Finger Death Punch 2, Skellboy and a few others.
2019 and 2020 release windows for other games.
Worth a watch.

“We’re going to see another Microsoft / Xbox first game at the IndieWorld Direct on Monday,” Ahmad said. “So far we’ve had Minecraft, Cuphead and Super Lucky’s Tale that have been Xbox exclusives come to Switch. If you’ve been following rumors/leaks you can probably guess this one.Two games will be shadow dropped. Both games are Hot.”
Ahmad’s deliberate use and capitalization of the word “hot” could point towards Superhot and possibly Hotline Miami as well.
Superhot originally launched in 2016 on PC. IGN gave it a 7.5 out of 10, calling its blend of time-stopping action and gun-fu “unique and addictive,” but criticized its lack of variety and cheesy story. The series saw a surprising amount of long-term success, though, launching a PS4 version, an Xbox One version, and a separate VR version that capitalized on the medium’s up-close-and-personal strengths.
Back in 2018, Japanese developer GameTomo announced they were making an entry of their own in the Superhot franchise, set within a new environment inspired by Japanese culture. We’ve yet to hear more out of them since then, though.
Expect to possibly hear more news on the Nintendo Switch port during this week’s festivities at Gamescom.
