As has been the tradition, there are a couple of new Fortnite Season 10 (Season X) map changes that are worth noting. As of the 10.0 update that kicked off Season 10, there are two major map changes – the Meteor and the return of Dusty Divot.
We have put together a list of the Fortnite Season 10 (Season X) map changes, to help you see what all is new in Fortnite at the beginning of the season. This guide will focus on the biggest changes to the Fortnite map so it might leave out some of the smaller changes.
The Return of Dusty Depot[edit]
Thanks to teasers and leaks ahead of the Season 10 launch, lots of players were aware that Dusty Depot would likely be returning. As expected, this turned out to be the case.
Fortnite seems to have reverted to a time prior to the meteor striking the map and creating Dusty Divot. This means that the giant crater is gone and the warehouses are back…for now anyways.
Speaking of the Meteor, it seems that time has froze right before the flaming ball of fire was set to destroy Fortnite.
As you can see in the image above, the Meteor is frozen mid fall, preventing Fortnite from being destroyed.
When the meteor stuck in the earlier season, it brought with it a mysterious character known as the Visitor. The strange guest was responsible for the rocket launch that ended Season 4, leaving a bunch of cracks in the sky. Could the Visitor be making a return?
The Remains of Doggus Corps[edit]
The giant Doggus skeleton appeared towards the end of Season 9 after the epic battle between Doggus and Cattus.
It seems Epic is showing the remains of Doggus a little bit of love, by placing some pretty scenery at its final resting place. Aside from that, there really isn’t really any new map changes at the crops.
Return of the Factories[edit]
This isn’t a named location, but it was a fairly popular place back in the day. After being removed in one of the earlier seasons, the three factories have reappeared!
Unfortunately for them, they are currently positioned right under the giant flaming meteor. It remains to be seen what Epic will do with the Factories, but for it seems for now they are back!
The Orb Over Loot Lake[edit]
The mysterious Orb over Loot Lake seems to be the source of all of this time traveling craziness. After the launch of Season 10 (Season X) the orb looks to have began exploding.
A close look at the Orb over Loot Lake will show that there are a bunch of things floating in the air, like cars and concrete, which could be the result in future damage. It remains to be see if the Orb will finish exploding, and if so, what it will do.
A Tribute to Risky Reels[edit]
One of the biggest questions about the future of Fortnite Season 10 (Season X) is, will there be more map changes that feature older locations? While checking out the Season 10 map changes, some players spotted a small little theatre just east of Sunny Steps.
This theatre seems to resemble the old Risky Reels location. This has a lot of players wondering if it will make a return later on in the season. If so, will anything else return?
