Last year, Sega released Sonic Mania Adventures, an series by the Sonic Mania cutscene animator Tyson Hesse with Neko Productions. The series was well-liked by fans, as it combined the charming art style of Sonic Mania’s cutscenes with a lighthearted and fun adventure featuring the series’ mainstay characters. Sega was so pleased with the feedback from the YouTube series that it brought Hesse and Neko Productions back for a two-part series in promotion of the soon-to-be released Team Sonic Racing.
The series features Team Sonic, Team Rose, and Team Dark competing on the Wisp Circuit course, while Dr. Eggman is up to his usual trickery. The first episode released in March, garnering 1.7 million views since. The second episode (which you can view standalone here) released this week. However, if you want to experience it in the most convenient way possible, you can see a compilation of the two parts below.
Team Sonic Racing releases on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC on May 21. For more on the upcoming kart racer, check out our hands-on preview from last E3.
