The date for the next Sony State of Play has officially been revealed. PlayStation’s gaming showcase takes place this Thursday, May 30, and kicks off the annual slate of summer streaming showcases featuring the latest and greatest reveals in the games industry.

In a post on PlayStation Blog, Sony said State of Play features updates on PlayStation 5 and PS VR2 titles, plus a look at PlayStation Studios games arriving later this year. The 30+ minute show features 14 titles, and begins May 30 at 3pm PT / 6pm ET | May 31 12am CEST / 7am JST on YouTube, Twitch, and TikTok.

A new Astro Bot game leaked on Friday and is expected to be part of the showcase. Other possible announcements include God of War Ragnarok on PC, Silent Hill 2, and the long-rumored PS5 Pro.

PlayStation has plenty of question marks around its release schedule as it continues through the latter half of 2024 and beyond. It recently appointed two new CEOs, Hermen Hulst and Hideaki Nishino, who will seek to continue Sony’s momentum in the post-Jim Ryan era. The State of Play should answer at least a few questions about PlayStation’s strategy going forward.

You can watch the State of Play on PlayStation’s channels, including YouTube and Twitch. Afterward, tune in to Beyond for all of our reactions as well as a recap of everything announced. And of course, look forward to IGN Live, which runs from June 7 to June 9 in Los Angeles.
