Nintendo

has announced that it will be livestreaming its Indie World video showcase on August 19 which will feature “roughly 20 minutes of information on indie games coming to #NintendoSwitch!”Revealed on Twitter, Nintendo’s Indie World presentation will take place this Monday at 6am PT/9am ET/2pm BST and, as per usual, no further details were given on what to expect.

Back in March, Nintendo held its Nindies Showcase during GDC 2019 and revealed such games as Cuphead and Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the Necrodancer feat. The Legend of Zelda.

The name Indie World has been used for Nintendo Japan’s indie showcases, and this may indicate a shift to a more global branding for these types of presentations.

The indie games that will be discussed during Indie World will be some of the many things Nintendo fans have to look forward to this year and beyond, including the Nintendo Switch Lite, Pokemon Sword and Shield, Astral Chain, Luigi’s Mansion 3, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, a sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and so much more.

Next week’s Indie World will be livestreamed, as opposed to the pre-recorded Nintendo Direct-style presentations, and will air just a few hours before Gamescom’s opening night press conference that will be hosted by Geoff Keighley.
