Aight Aight Aight.

The upcoming Gears 5 tech test is available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers, not just pre-order customers, developer the Coalition confirmed, according to Eurogamer.

Starting July 17th, both parties can download the tech test, which will still require Xbox Live Gold, the Coalition director of communications, Dana Sissons confirmed in a blog post. Xbox Game Pass members will see it in their library, same as any other game available through the program.

The tech test will then be available to play from July 19 at 10 a.m. PDT through July 21, and then reactivates on July 26 at 10 a.m. PDT through July 29.

Sissons added that because of the nature of the tech test, players may experience some queuing as they enter the game.

The tech test will allow players to compete in Escalation mode matches (which were introduced in Gears 4, and updated for Gears 5), the new Arcade mode, and King of the Hill mode. The Coalition has also added a Bootcamp feature that’ll get new or rusty players up to speed.

The tech test also comes with a “Tour of Duty” feature, which lets players earn a special banner and weapon skins by completing challenges.
