As you progress through the levels in Story Mode you’ll encounter different characters from the Mario Maker universe. Characters with jobs will have a red exclamation mark above their heads. Walk up to them and press A to interact. After speaking to them, their level will be available from the Taskmaster’s list. These jobs do not give you coins as a reward for completing the job. Instead, they yield special rewards like outfits for you Mii Maker Profile.
This page will show you how to find them, what levels they have, and their rewards.
As you build the Main Hall 1F, Mr. Eraser will appear on the right side of the road. Once he has a red exclamation mark above his head, talk ti him to unlock his job. He offer to clear out the blocks impeding the Warp Pipe and eventually those on the Road.

Patrick becomes available after completing Mr. Eraser’s first job. Take the green Warp Pipe to the area below and walk to the right to interact with the brick – that’s Patrick! Speak with Patrick. He’ll add ? Blocks to the overworld.

| Completing this job gives you the Patrick Shirt! | |||
Soundfrog becomes available by activating the hidden block created after completing Patrick’s second job. Approach the red flower and jump to activate the hidden block. After the vine emerges press A to jump and climb up. Upon reaching the cloud go left, collecting the coins and talk to the Soundfrog.
The Soundfrog has some of the most difficult levels. Completing his jobs will change the landscape of the area. After completing all his jobs, you can return to speak with Soundfrog to dance!

The Undodog will bark jobs at you after the West Hall has mostly been built. All these jobs have clear conditions and get trickier as you progress. The first job doesn’t offer any rewards, but you’ll receive an outfit after completing all three.

You can find Yamamura by shooting the West Hall Cannon for the first time. Yamamura will land on the road to the left side of the road between the floating blocks and the newly built Undodog house. You’ll need to find Yamamura again for the next two jobs. Check out the table below to see all the locations.
