IGN’s Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled cheats guide gives you the inside scoop into every cheat in the game. While not all codes from the PS1 game have returned, those that have are recorded here.
To enter these Cheat Codes, you must be at the Main Menu. Hold down both bumpers on the controller while you enter the code. On PS4 this is L1+R1, on Xbox it’s RB+LB, and on Switch it’s L+R. Once the code is entered successfully, you’ll hear a confirmation sound. If you’re having trouble, push the buttons slower.
Your game save will not be affected: if you disable the Cheats by entering the Adventure or Online modes, everything is reverted back to normal.
As discovered by Riperroo123 for the original game, the codes translate to specific words. On PlayStation, X is X, Circle is O, Triangle is A, Up is U/N, Down is D/S, Left is L/W and Right is R/E!
Penta Penguin

Penta is a Speed Class secret character, and is only unlockable with this cheat code. However, using this code will not impede you from Trophies, Grand Prix Challenges, Wumpa Coins or Adventure Rewards as the other codes do. This code translates to “Seaswan”.
PS4: Down, Right, Triangle, Down, Left, Triangle, Up
XBO: Down, Right, Y, Down, Left, Y, Up
Switch: Down, Right, X, Down, Left, X, Up

Infinite Wumpa Fruit

This cheat locks you to 99 Wumpa Fruit, meaning your Pickups are always Juiced Up. This code translates to “Seeds”.
All Platforms: Down, Right, Right, Down, Down
Infinite Turbos

This cheat gives you an infinite supply of Turbo Power-Ups. It translates to “Axelwax”.
PS4: Triangle, X, Right, Left, Left, Triangle, X
XBO: Y, A, Right, Left, Left, Y, A
Switch: X, B, Right, Left, Left, X, B
Infinite Bowling Bombs

This cheat gives you an infinite supply of Bowling Bomb Weapons. It translates to “Arsenal”.

XBO: Y, Right, Down, Right, Up, Y, Left

Infinite Masks

This cheat gives you an infinite supply of Mask Weapons. It translates to “Warlords”.

Always Invisible

Makes all human racers permanently invisible, meaning they also can’t be targeted by Tracking Missiles. This code translates to “Unseen”.
All Platforms: Up, Up, Down, Right, Right, Up
Super Turbo Pads (Stronger Turbo Pads)

This cheat makes all Turbo pads as powerful as they are on Turbo Track. Keep in mind that this may make you overshoot some jumps! The code translates to “Arrow”.
PS4: Triangle, Right, Right, O, Left
XBO: Y, Right, Right, B, Left
Switch: X, Right, Right, A, Left
Super Engine Mode (Always Boosting)

This cheat will make your kart act as if you ALWAYS have the Super Engine Power-Up active from the Battle Mode. The code translates to “Unleaded”.
PS4: Up, Up, Left, Right, Triangle, Down, Right, Down
XBO: Up, Up, Left, Right, Y, Down, Right, Down
Switch: Up, Up, Left, Right, X, Down, Right, Down
1-Lap Races (races only last one lap)

This cheat changes the amount of laps needed to complete an event to just a single lap. The code translates to “Suddendead”.

Icy Tracks (SLEDROAD)[edit]
This cheat makes all surfaces of the track behave like ice. The code translates to “Sledroad”.
