Ragnarok is Coming once more.

An eagle-eyed fan may have discovered another tease for a potential sequel or something new for God of War, as the first letter in each of a string of Tweets by game director Cory Barlog spell out the phrase “Ragnarok is Coming❤.”

Discovered by u/Kayfriso on Reddit, Barlog’s pinned tweet from April 21, 2019, appears to simply be a thread about reminiscing about the last six years of working on and releasing God of War for PlayStation 4. However, Kayfriso noticed a pattern.

As previously mentioned, when you combine the letters of the first word of each tweet, “Ragnarok is Coming❤” is spelled, which is the same phrase that appeared on the God of War PS4 dynamic theme that released for the game’s first anniversary.

As those who have played God of War, our Game of the Year for 2018, know, the ending definitely made clear that Kratos and Atreus’ story wasn’t quite finished and that this new game would potentially deal with the events of Ragnarok.

For those unfamiliar, Ragnarok is more or less the apocalypse in Norse mythology that involved the battles and deaths of gods and humans alike.

God of War released in April of last year, and it would make sense for Sony and Santa Monica Studio to continue building upon the success of this title, which has sold over 10 millions copies and earned a 10 from us, in which we said “God of War’s outstanding characters, world, and combat come together to form an unforgettable adventure.”
