Capcom has confirmed we’ll be surviving zombie outbreaks on the go with Resident Evil Zero, 1 and 4 this May on Switch.
Announced through Twitter, all three ports will drop on the Nintendo eShop on May 21, saying “Play all three masterpieces anywhere, such as: on trains, during mansion tours, across the European countryside.”

Pre-orders for the games will begin on February 28. All three titles coming in May will be the HD remastered versions of the games.
Revealed in comments to the original post, North American customers can purchase the Resident Evil Origins Collection at retail, which bundles together Resident Evil Zero and the 2002 remake of the original Resident Evil that initially came to GameCube. For European customers, Capcom confirmed that none of the games will be sold at retail, but will be available as individual digital downloads.
All three of these ports were announced for Switch last October, and will join the Switch versions of Resident Evil Revelations 1 and 2 released last year.
In our review of the Resident Evil Zero HD remaster, we called the game “Okay” saying it “has the look and feel of a modern game, but that doesn’t change how forgettable it is.”
In our review of the Resident Evil HD remaster, we called the game “Great” saying “Resident Evil does a good job of updating the look and feel of a classic survival horror game for a new audience.”
In our review of the Resident Evil 4 HD remaster, we called the game “Great” saying “With excellent controls, memorable baddies, and a cheesy story worthy of the Resident Evil branding, gamers should take it upon themselves to play this at some point if they haven’t already.” For the record, we still think RE4 has the best inventory system in the series.
