Overtime Challenges are a new set of challenges designed to help players complete their Battle Pass for Season 7. Released alongside the v7.40 patch on February 14, the 20 different challenges offer additional XP, a few new rewards, new styles for existing Season 7 outfits, and the ability to unlock the upcoming Season 8 Battle Pass for free.

That’s right! Completing 13 challenges will get you the Season 8 Battle Pass free of charge when it’s released later this month. Take note, four of the twenty challenges act as milestones as you complete a certain amount challenges, so you really have to complete 13 of the 16 to unlock the next Battle Pass.

The Share the Love event concludes on February 27 just in time for the new season. The same goes for the Overtime Challenges, but some challenges won’t unlock until a few days have gone by. See a list of all the Fortnite Season 7 Challenges here.

Collect Coins in Featured Creative Islands[edit]

Enter Fortnite Creative and enter the main server. Your job is to visit any of the four featured islands and collect 15 hidden coins. You do not need to collect all 15 coins in one island, not that you can since each island can only have 10. Keep visiting the featured islands until you find 15. Featured islands are currently changing daily!

Deal 500 damage to enemies using Assault Rifles or Pistols. Here’s a list of all the weapons that will count towards this challenge:

  • Assault Rifle
  • Suppressed Assault Rifle
  • Thermal Scoped Assault Rifle
  • Heavy Assault Rifle
  • Scoped Assault Rifle
  • Pistol
  • Hand Cannon
  • Suppressed Pistol
  • Dual Pistols
  • Scoped Revolver

Search chests or ammo boxes at a motel or an RV park[edit]

Open seven chests or ammo boxes at either the motel in the northern part of the map or the RV park northeast of Retail Row.

Place Top 15 in Duos with a friend[edit]

Be one of the last 15 teams standing in Duos, but you must be partnered with a friend from your friends list. Looking for a friend? Try playing a few matches and sending a friend request to any teammates you had a good time playing with. You can leave your username here in the comments!

Regain health from a campfire in different matches[edit]

Campfires found out in the open can now be used to heal like a normal Cozy Campfire! Find one in the wild and use it in three different matches. Make sure you need to be healed, using it at full health will not work. If you need to, build a ramp and jump off to deal some damage.

Visit different Named Locations[edit]

Landing in ten different named locations. As you play ten matches, keep track of all the places you land and don’t repeat any locations. Here’s a list of all current locations:

  • Junk Junction
  • Haunted Hills
  • Pleasant Park
  • Snobby Shores
  • Tilted Towers
  • Shifty Shafts
  • Dusty Divot
  • Salty Springs
  • Fatal Fields
  • Wailing Woods
  • Lonely Lodge
  • Retail Row
  • Lucky Landing
  • The Block
  • Lazy Links
  • Paradise Palms
  • Tomato Temple
  • Loot Lake
  • Polar Peak
  • Frosty Flights
  • Happy Hamlet

Search a Supply Drop in different matches[edit]

Locate and open a supply drop in two different matches. These special crates drop from the sky, parachuting down on a big yellow balloon. Listen up for a sound notification every time a supply crate appears.

In a hurry and don’t mind making a little noise? Shoot at the balloon and deplete its HP to have it immediately drop from the sky. Make sure to open the crate to add it to your total.

When searching supply drops, it’s best that you build around them to protect yourself from enemy fire. Most users will try to bait you into opening the supply drop so that they can kill you, and steal your loot.

Revive a player in different matches[edit]

Be a pal and revive a teammate in three different matches. That means no going into Solos for this one! Hop into one of the larger team LTMs where anyone on your team, not just your squad, can be revived.

Visit different waterfalls[edit]

Have you ever taken note of the many waterfalls in Fortnite? Well, now you have a reason to because your job is to find and visit seven waterfalls. Not in the same match, you can visit any as long as they are all different.

So, where are the waterfalls located? There are several waterfalls scattered about the map but going to Loot Lake is by far your best option. There you can visit the three waterfalls, all of which will count separately, then you can go south of the lake for a fourth waterfall that spills into the river. From there pick any of the remaining waterfalls to find the last three. Use our map to find them all!

Deal damage to opponents with Shotguns or SMGs[edit]

Deal 500 damage to enemies using Shotguns or SMGs. Here’s a list of all the weapons that will count towards this challenge:

  • Pump Shotgun
  • Tactical Shotgun
  • Compact SMG
  • Suppressed Submachine Gun

Search chests or ammo boxes at The Block[edit]

The Block changes often but you’ll always be able to find a decent amount of chests and ammo boxes. For those unfamiliar, The Block is an area in the top right corner of the map where user created islands from Fortnite Creative are featured in Battle Royale. Lots of people are landing here just for this challenge, so land early and spot a chest or ammo box before you even hit the ground!

Place Top 10 in Squads with a friend[edit]

Be one of the last 10 teams standing in Squads, but you must be partnered with a friend from your friends list. Looking for a friend? Try playing a few matches and sending a friend request to any teammates you had a good time playing with. You can leave your username here in the comments!

This will still count if you play a Squad based LTM but it won’t work in modes with larger teams.

Play matches of Driftin’ with a friend[edit]

There’s a new LTM focused on the limited time vehicle, the Driftboard. Your job is to play three Driftin’ matches with a friend. No requirement to win or get eliminations, just play three times!

Search chests or ammo boxes at a racetrack or a dance club[edit]

Open seven chests or ammo boxes at either the racetrack in the northern part of the desert biome (east of Retail Row) or the dance club in the snow covered town east of Happy Hamlet. The dance club is in the northern most building of the town.

Things getting crowded over at the race track? The one near Junk Junction in the northern section of the map counts too!

Thank the Bus Driver in different matches[edit]

It’s an easy one but a challenge that is super important. As you ride on the battle bus at the start of a match, simply thank the bus driver before deploying. You’ll need to thank the bus driver seven different times, each time in a different match. Not sure how to do this? On PC, the thank button is defaulted to B. For PS4, XBO, and Switch, hit down on the D-pad. On mobile, hit the emote button.

Outlast 75 opponents in a single match[edit]

You’re going to have to be one of the 25 remaining players alive! To ensure your survival, try landing on the edges of the map and as far away from the path of the battle bus as possible. Avoid landing in areas like The Block where other enemies may land to complete challenges. Slowly make your way to the circle to better your chances.

Other Challenges[edit]
